Grand Garden in Las Vegas. It was an even technical fight but in the 11th round a left hook by Canelo staggered the Russian. Alvarez followed up with a crushing right that made
Kovalev go limp as he fell into the ropes forcing referee Russel Mora to immediately wave it off at 2:15. At the time of stoppage the fight was very close. two judges had it 96-94
Canelo and one had it even 95-95.
